Maybe I'll finally get hot in 2013...

We made it, everyone. 2013's here, and I've seriously been neglecting this site. Sorry 'bout that. How has everybody been? Good? Bad?

I'm doing moderately well, I guess. A bit confused emotionally and possibly sexuality-wise (still not a lesbian, Thompson. Just because my GIF preference is — nevermind), but I'm alright besides that. Lazy as usual. It's a wonder I haven't flunked freshman year yet.

I'll probably be heading to a Catholic school for sophomore year, thank fucking God. The school here sucks, I hate 75% of my classmates, and the only reason I stayed last year was for my friends, but I can't handle homeschool anymore. My work ethic is awful, and I need a stricter curriculum if I'm going to get anywhere in life. I visited the school last year; it's actually pretty nice. I'll miss my fair share of people from APL, definitely, but perhaps now that I'm "mingling with youth of the same faith", my mother will let me out to see you guys more often.

You know that weird feeling you get when someone's so attractive that you're embarrassed to look at them? That feeling is why I need to get a certain set of brothers off of altar serving duty because I can't stare at the organ for the whole mass. But anyway!

2012. I lived! Had a great deal of ups, more happiness than I deserved, quite a bit of sadness, a parking lot of bumpy spots, and far too many tears for anyone, but I'm here now and here's where I'm staying. I wish more people could kick off the New Year with Firefly, his/her very favorite ginger, a knight and warlock with some delicious Ho Yay, and flexible girls with long stripy socks. The world would probably be nicer. Maybe.

Knitting- and crochet-wise, I really need to finish all the requests I have. To date, I think this is the list, with completed items crossed off:

I'm going to definitely close off requests until…the summer, most likely. If anybody lives near a JoAnn's, I'd really appreciate if you picked up two bags of 6mm safety eyes for me. Michael's doesn't have them, sadly.

2012 Meme #2

2012 is now over; what were the highlights of the year?
Highlights?

Ashley. James. Finally ditching the godawful A-line bob I've kept forever. Knitting. Crochet. Yarn, in general. Mr. Kline. Malia the darling nondenominational angel. Holy Musical Bman! Musical theatre. The BBC and the feelings associated with it.

What were some of the worst parts of 2012?
Every fourth day after mid-November.

What did you learn in 2012?
I have a thing for curly hair and glasses. The fucking Pythagorean Theorem. Homeschool is fucking hard when you're teaching yourself. Tumblr is a lovely family.

If you were to give 2012 a rating (1 being this year was awful and 10 being BEST YEAR OF MY LIFE) what would you give it?
I took my averages and it was about a 7, overall. I had quite a few highs and lows, so that's probably why.

Any New Years Resolutions?
Don't die.
